This was not the case, the bottle is horrible, the nozzle on the bottle got clogged after about two uses and then every time I sprayed it it would either just spray little dots of tan and left all these horrible freckle looking dots on me or it would all come out at once and leave big patches of tan on my skin. I'm a bargain snob - I root for the cosmetic underdog, what can I say? After exfoliating the night prior and shaving I squirt some mousse onto the mitt and doing circular motions started at the tops of my feet and worked my way up to my neck and arms and applied the mousse. Unfortunately, my fair skin does not like to take self tanners so for me, I won't continue to buy it but I think the color and application mitt make this the best tanner out of the many I've tried
