Pumphouse Park 1627 Pump House Drive Richmond VA 23221 There is no river access at this part of the park, but there are canals with river water in them, paths, and a gorgeous Romanesque building that was once the pumphouse for the city. To watch climbers, take Semmes to the Floodwall parking lot, just before the entrance onto the Manchester Bridge going north and follow the path down near the railroad tracks

Belle Isle State Park
ENVIRONMENTAL EDUCATION CENTER The center is available for educational programs provided by the park, and the diverse ecosystems make Belle Isle an excellent outdoor laboratory for environmental education. Because of the historic nature of the mansion, we are in the process of designing an appropriate access that will maintain the character of the facility
As for the rest of the island, there is also a super easy beginner trail that runs around the whole island, but there are some more technically challenging trails that run up higher above the bluffs. Some of the trails from the top of Belle Isle are not for the faint of heart! All in all, it's a pretty nice place with a lot of civil war history and real nice scenery
Large flat rocks surrounding the island make for good sunbathing, but the powerful Hollywood Rapids are not to be toyed with and are not suitable for swimming
