I was able to relax and catch my stride running along the strip and into the neighborhoods, it was dark but well lit and I just followed the person in front of me. Maintained a 4:59:50 pace up to 1st cut off where I had to fight with a rude marshal; this within steps from a person funneling full runners onto the full course

Gatorade was provided every 3 miles or so (wished they had Nuun or just about anything else.) Post-race plenty of free energy drinks, smoothies, bars, bananas to re-energize. As others have commented, the hill up to the finish was horrible - really - right at 13 miles we need that steep of an uphill? There was also a super steep downhill section that was very tough on the joints

Before that, runners get to enjoy about a mile and half along the shoreline of Lake Washington as they run north on Lake Washington Boulevard, including stretches past Mount Baker Park and Colman Park. Runners will have a course time limit of 4 hours to complete the half marathon and 7 hours to finish the full marathon, which means that walkers as well as runners are encouraged to take part in the race
Though every effort has been made to ensure its accuracy, changes are sometimes made to race routes due to weather conditions, road closures or other circumstances that can require a course to be changed
