Kalesti grew up with Country Music all around her, as her family loved listening to and performing Country Music in their downtime from working on the Stations. As a youth i sang songs by some of the most influential Country Music Artists, and performed at many Local events including a stint being an opening act for James Blundell in 1991 in Texas
It 1979, she met Ian Hands the two started touring together in 1985 - although they never married they became partners, and up until 2012 - the two would take their country music to their fans. He would run a dance in the St Cecilia's Church Hall in Preston by the late 1960's he moved the dance to the Preston Town Hall, as it was not uncommon to be performing for 200 or more teenagers
