Design The R1 unit measures 4 inches wide by 2.75 inches tall and is a hair larger than 0.25 inches deep with the visor clip removed, or about the size of a deck of cards, and is easily tucked into a shirt or pants pocket. The Bottom Line There is much to like about the iVoice R1 Bluetooth hands-free kit's call quality, we just wish the interface was easier to use and understand

Important Note About The Microphone When Recording Video On An iPhone 4
David Dell AHHHHHHH Ha! So THATS why I thought my 4 had gone funny one day, and yes tried again and the problem went away, little later it came back lol Thank You Cliff good simple find and tip
Pull it out at your desk or in a car or in a conference room and you are immediately hearing great sound and able to speak clearly to people on the other end. I would stick with the black or white version if you must and skip over the brown and gold versions (though obviously if you have a gold iPhone, you might as well)
Lint, dirt, debris that falls into my pocket also falls into those mic holes and into the adjacent headphone jack and the speaker holes on the other side of the lightning connector. They tried to test it with me calling the store phone using my speakerphone but that was nuts because the store was so loud they would never be able to hear anything
After some troubleshooting it became obvious that my speaker and mic both work perfectly, except when I activate speakrphone during a call, my mic goes mute. Reading other posts online, I realized that the soft reset I did had cleared up the issue - I was able to hear and so was the person on the other end of the call
