How much of leadership is about control, delegation or theater? The answer depends on who wants to know - how, what, when and where this question is asked. Heskett rightfully reminds us of Pfeffer's and Sutton's lessons: Leadership is essential - someone has to be out front; leadership shows common features but expresses itself differently in each situation; leadership generates limited impact on organizational results

The Pacific (TV Mini-Series 2010) - IMDb
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0374463/
the Pacific is in parts a fast paced war series that can be enjoyed by action lovers whilst containing a more sensitive side when projecting the relationships (brotherhood) of Marines on the battlefield. where the Pacific takes a new direction from its "older brother" is in its depiction of the lives of soldiers who were picked to return home to increase the sales of war bonds, in doing this it also depicts the life cycle of returned soldiers from initial joy to the eventual feeling of regret and to a certain extent shame felt by soldiers wanting to return to the war in service of either their comrades or nation

These wonderful photos bring again the real heroes for all time, not make believe characters of books, but the men and women who defended and currently defend our great country. Having three uncles involved in the war (one had his ship bombed and sunk in the Java Sea, another served on Iwo Jima, and occupied Japan, and the third served in the European theater),made me appreciate their sacrifice and those near and dear to them that much more as I and their children grew up together
