Have you tried holding the home button and lock button together for 10 seconds, or just the lock button? You should leave it plugged in for at least 10 minutes jut to be sure. did you press and hold BOTH the home button and the power button for more than 10 seconds? This is hard resetting the phone and may be what it takes to bring it back

How To Perform a Clean Install of OS X Lion on Your Mac

Because this is a clean install of OS X Lion, you can use the Migration Assistant to transfer data from another Mac, a PC, Time Machine, or another disk or partition on your Mac.I prefer not to use the Migration Assistant at this point, opting instead for a clean installation of Lion. You can find the method I use in the following article:Back Up Your Mac: Time Machine and SuperDuper Make for Easy BackupsFormat the Destination DriveYou must erase the target drive before you can start the Lion installation process

Apple OS X Lion 10.7 review

That's actually a good thing: using our jobs as an example, we wouldn't want Lion to create a different version every time we fiddled with a word choice or added a comma. We didn't notice any major hangups on our clean system when installing Lion -- no force quits, no stumbling applications, even amongst not Apple programs like Firefox, which can sometimes be a burden on an overworked system

Got an iPhone or 3G iPad? Apple is recording your moves - O'Reilly Radar

Our best guess is that the location is determined by cell-tower triangulation, and the timing of the recording is erratic, with a widely varying frequency of updates that may be triggered by traveling between cells or activity on the phone itself. This is the hidden secret for the establishment to keep a track of every move we make of what a person is doing! It must not be allowed! They must not keep our personal, private and the little freedom that we still have to keep exploiting us

This is a chance for Mac users to help shape the future of OS X, and a great way to do that is by sending feedback directly to Apple through the built-in reporting mechanisms. To be perfectly clear, the OS X El Capitan San Francisco system font is different from the Apple Watch variant of San Francisco, which has since been renamed to San Francisco Compact, intended for watchOS

Mac OS X Hints - A community-built collection of OS X hints

See Setting Up an iOS 7 On-Demand VPN for the details (it's way too much stuff to post via MacOSXHints, as much as I've been a fan of this site for many years). I find that the confirm-faces interface is a faster way to find new faces than the Find Faces feature and I was methodically going through each face album to find new faces this way before I discovered the smart album trick mentioned above

Answer from login screen When you receive a FaceTime call on your Mac and the screen is locked, you can answer the call from the login screen without having to enter your password. Spotlight suggestions As you type in the Smart Search field, Safari shows Spotlight suggestions from Wikipedia, Maps, iTunes, and other sources, in addition to suggestions from your search engine

For your individual backup files, it stores them wherever your Windows profile is, you can move your profile to a different drive if you wish using the built in Windows tools. Here is what the backup directory looks like on a Mac: iPhone Backup Location for Windows 10, Windows 8, Windows 7, XP, and Vista Different versions of Windows store the iPhone and iPad locations in slightly different locations, though the version of iTunes does not matter
