I also have broken screws in the hardware in my neck, so there is shifting of the plates and because of the excessive neck surgery's, no doctor wants to touch my neck now because they have to go in the front and in the back and it can become life threatening and also can cause paralysis. Finally I stopped going to her and took previous therapists advice and do slow and slowly increasing exercises and walking and bending daily (several times a day) Even today I still do these exercises and keep the knees limber.

Do the cortisone shots stop the snapping feeling or just the pain? I know that cortisone shots reduce inflammation and numb the knee for a while (in most people, did nothing for me) Cortisone does not make scar tissue go away nor does it make a plica disappear

A friend of mine (an avid runner) had the surgery, and he has been in pain for almost 2 yrs now, he cant even walk fast, even tho the MRI reveals a perfectly repaired knee. It didn't seem to effect my running so much, so I didn't alter that a great deal (maybe didn't do an extra interval or km once or twice), but I iced it a lot, made sure to stretch carefully, and paid close attention that it didn't get worse (it didn't)

Knee Pain, bone on bone, can't straighten the knee

  http://www.tendonitisexpert.com/knee-pain-bone-on-bone-cant-straighten-the-knee.html
I was diagnosed with onset rheumatoid arthritis in 2000 but have had no pain as such with that so dont think it is that.I used to go walking and have not had an accident to bring on this pain, I get sharp pain across my knee and up and down my leg if I jar it, which makes me nearly pass out its as if its bone against bone. Sufficient vitamin D has been shown to decrease cartilage loss in the knees over time and to decrease pain generally in some very surprising ways! And make sure that your vitamin D level matches the normal ranges on my website page of Normal Vitamin D Levels making sure that you check the UNITS used because your units for measuring vitamin D are different that the ones here in the US

My knees were a little sore at the time, but nothing I was concerned about until later that night when I started to relax, my right knee would not bend at all without excruciating pain - I thought I broke a bone in my knee, but each day it started to feel better so I didn't want to go out of my way to see a doctor if it was "healing" fine on its own. Been kind of a rough last 12 months for injuries for me and I cannot sit and wait any more...Race season is here.If I get it looked at I will definitely report back here or PM you
