However, looking at the longevity of this group and its impact on introducing different styles of music to a host of listeners (rock jazz, ballads, driving rock, Latin rhythms, and pop) I believe their impact on the history of rock and roll is too great to be overlooked. Don't miss this powerful night of music! This show, recently performed in Boston to a full house, was created by Amy Black after releasing a four-song EP "The Muscle Shoals Session" recorded this summer in Muscle Shoals, her family's home place, with the Rock and Roll Hall of Famer, Spooner Oldham, keys player for Aretha Franklin, Neil Young, Bob Dylan and many others. And after twenty years of collaboration, Goodrich is woven into most every corner of Mulvey's sound." Saturday, November 3rd, 2012 Toad 7:30pm 1920 Massachusetts Ave

But I had a BLAST doing it!!!! So much so, that I did it again at least 3 or 4 more times after that in the following years, usually when a new album came out. Now, that room is very cluttered with records (about 49,000), thousands of tapes (cassette, VHS and open reel) and a few hundred books and my bed is where the chair was. I'm a sentimental fool at times, and am not particularly ashamed to admit I got surprisingly emotional seeing all these great artists performing together. While the vagaries of age do show in some of the rough vocal work, the added gravitas of several of these singers' voices is really actually quite appealing
