If a person were to use the program without actually being involved with WW it might not be apparent at what point to drop your allowance down hence slowing down your weight loss. You enter the calories, fat and fiber and it tells you how many points it is, based on the old program! There are also apps with info on restaurant foods that give you the info you need to input into the calculator
Skinny Bits: Not Losing Weight With Weight Watchers?
http://www.skinny-bits.com/2010/04/not-losing-weight-with-weight-watchers.html
I gained 25 lbs the first 2 years I was on weight watchers (not sure why I continued to go) What made me start to lose weight was to distribute my points over several small meals every day (I eat 6-7 X) that way I prevent periods of extreme hunger when I know I have a tendency to binge. I found that I had great success eating about 20-30 points over my weekly allowance (that is, 20-30 points above and beyond the 35 party points they allow you)

I will also be spending considerable amounts of time trying to update the existing content to the new format as well as updating the nutrition info that is available for each restaurant. Is there any information I should know getting started? I would welcome any tips! Thanks! Dan April 19, 2011 Hi PJ, welcome aboard! Are you doing the new pointsplus version of WW or the old points plan? Either way, just remember that if you follow the plan closely, work lots of fresh fruit and veggies into your meals and get a little bit of exercise you will be amazed with the results

Because I believe this was a lifestyle I could continue for a lifetime I continued two years past my 47 lbs weight loss but lost no more weight (nor gained any). I tried the old way about a year ago and found that even thoughI lost a bit of weight, the new system is helping me lose faster while making better food choices
Understanding Weight Watchers PointsPlus

I did this by re-learing to follow my body's natural hunger and fullness cues (what naturally thin people do) while nurturing myself along the way and discovering the life I really wanted to live. How many years have you been at the same weight? Imagine if you would have started 3 years ago? I know you would love to be 75 lbs lighter today, no matter how long it took, and of course, the higher your dedication, the faster (make sure it's healthy) you'll lose

Just search their forums for the new Points quiz.posted by tastybrains at 8:06 PM on March 19, 2007 I lost a great deal of weight by doing WW on my own. I have a table for how many points each weight range should eat in a day in order to loose weight, but I'm wondering if there is such a table for maintaining weight

Don't ever feel badly if you find yourself struggling in these two areas-- you have a lot of company! That said, if you already have some experience losing weight, and have started the "yo-yo" cycle or you have started plateauing, it is critically important to make some new shifts in your diet. The entire weight loss process can be very complicated and often frustrating, and at PEERtrainer we find that it really helps people to break down the process into identifiable components

thanks! Thursday, January 20, 2011, 5:01 PM Daily Points Unlike the book I got when I was on the old points system, which told you how to calculate your daily point allotment, there is no chart in any of the books to tell you how to calculate your daily points now. This is a good point, and definitely something to remember
