Re: Portland to Seattle--Amtrak or Bolt bus Sep 10, 2013, 10:04 AM Yes, Amtrak is much more scenic than the bus The bus takes the freeway, which we have been on a million times (either DH or I commute every week between Portland and Seattle) but the train goes along the water for some of it. Amtrak Station Closest to the Sea-Tac Airport. - Seattle Forum - TripAdvisor

I was just wondering which train station is the closest to the airport so we can try and coordinate our plans with transportation and hotel and whatnot. You may find it a bit of a hassle to get from Seatac airport to King Street Station in downtown Seattle to catch the Amtrak train (especially if you have a lot of luggage)

- 45 minutes, without service How long before departure to be at the station if you do not need services such as ticketing, baggage or passenger assistance. Passenger assistance hours are the time frame during which station employees can provide assistance (such as Red Cap) to passengers other than ticketing or baggage checking
