Anyways after the clean install I was about to go download the new updates except for kb971033 when i decided that it would be better if i first ran the 2 major bypasses blaze and removewat. Well when I finished those and rebooted I saw that 2 updates had actually been installed and one of them was kb971033 and the other was a windows defender update kb915597
I suppose, in theory, you might be able to fix some of it manually but I find the CBS log pretty opaque and have stopped trying to sort it at that point
